Does not need but wants

Merely one she already has
And does not need but wants
She does not want to need and also
In sense she needs to want
Desiring nothing more
Than the nothing that already is
She still wants to have everything

And everything to give

You build a home, it collapses on you

You build a home, it collapses on you
It is better to find shelter next to a rock or hill
For those cannot be knocked in to kill you
Or sleep on the ground,
And assume you won't be stepped on.
Those so keen of self-protection
Who build uneasy roofs and shabby walls
Even taking the energy to design
It is foolishness,
Nothing lasts forever.
In a land so full and bustling
Lifestyle revolving around new trade
Slow die men of cowardice
Hiding in boxes,
Never letting go of anything.
Long live sore-footed travelers
Goods brought from farthest lands
Daring thievery, disloyalty, physical pain
Or heartbreak,
Whatever torment life delivers
Wanderers resilient regardless

Overcoming and homefree

Lady on the knoll with her trinkets

Lady on the knoll with her trinkets
She's no means of moving
But what good is transport when here lay her possessions
Paranoia protects the tangibly accumulated
Trading fewer and fewer memories
She is trapped here with them
Or lost without

She hoards her life in pieces and things

Excerpt from 'Assembly' - MFAU

All at once
Again atop the natural staircase
Clarity ensues in a perplexed way
She was of course meant to be here
There was no longer any doubt
Whether she chose this destiny or it chose her,
Here it was
And what was to happen
Elle must unquestionably act somehow
As she always Knew she should,
This reality was evidence
As bewildering as the sight affront

Another Bit of Memories

Conscious to but not a victim of

Maintaining some constant on else’s energy levels

Aware, conserved paranoia

One already knows nothing upon meeting newcomers

They may just be looking to trade

Or to take advantage

They may be searching for the deepest most authentic connection

Or the shallowest

Consistently all are on different levels of one plane

Excerpt from 'Mayhem'

While there is music, there is mayhem

Where rocks sit peacefully also violence survives

Only guesses tell where the start is

Bad and evil people who have become

Who've had things taken, stripped, burned, broken, buried

A life, a means, a quest for happiness: destroyed

To make way for the contagious wrath of misfortune

Wrapping, squeezing its way around air pipes

Thieves create thieves and murderers, murderers

A vicious cycle

Ever-present

Fear gained

Nothing spared

Strength of hope tested

Suspected initiation from the deepest south and west

So many rocks to throw

Or be hit by

Mayhem covers this land

From every which way
There is no end

Excerpt from MFAU

A broad landscape revealed
Rounding a corner to be blasted with light

Its beauty is cracked

Chasing the horizon; futile
Gabriela has found no resolution
And upon bestowing massive magnificence

Answers fly further away

An Excerpt from 'How Edward's Hand Felt,' MFAU

The stem emerges two inches above the world

Nowhere near any area that should allow it

Elle considers with a fingertip

Wild life growing in a desolate place

Where bloem are scarce, the only plant around

Surviving from underground

Reason of how is unattainable

Reason of good and bad, immaterial

Her eyes penetrated Edward

She plucked the stem without flinching

And he watched her toy with it pointlessly

Finally tearing it into itty-bitty pieces

Available Online Summer 2013

Destined to interfere with the silent Powers at be, one girl's epic mental and physical journey is translated by poetry in Memories from Another Universe.  This story comes from a different dimension, in a world of fungus-based life forms, where wanderers harvest and trade. There are no permanent homes, nor market systems, only encounters.  Gabriela is determined to find her purpose among them.

As the Victor Family prepares for the world's destruction, Knowledge is camouflaged in plain sight, itching to be discovered.  Wondering if she is lost, impulsively Gabriela is attracted to completing her destined journey.

The planet of fungus-fermenting creatures is so clogged with energy they're absorbed into it, doomed to the meaning of their own interpretations.
